Criminal ID Theft: Can It Happen To You?

Regardless of the fact that Identity Theft commercials attempt at humor is momentarily funny, Identity Theft is no laughing matter. However, what’s really laughable to me is the fact that Credit Monitoring or a program that locks down your social security number is only concerned with one thing, your credit, and not identity theft name losses.
Criminal Identity Name Theft, is on the move and gaining ground steadily. To give you an idea of how this works, follow along with this example. A sexual predator gets arrested. At booking, this pervert gives them a license with your information that they stole or bought through an underground chatroom. (Your picture was modified with the ID thief’s photo.) Therefore, when this predator doesn’t show up for court, a bench warrant goes out for your arrest. Imagine being cuffed in front of your children or your business associates.
Until very recently, Americans have been kept in the dark about how to protect themselves from more than just credit fraud Identity Theft. However, a new dawn has come. Now more than ever, the “right” Identity Theft protection is as appropriate as having the right medical coverage when you need care. You really aren’t concerned about it until something happens, but when it does, you’re sure glad you have it.
Wouldn’t it be nice to know that you can protect yourself should Criminal Identity Name Theft ever happen to you? It’s so much better to stay out of jail, while the real criminal gets put behind bars.
