Identity Theft Protection In The Workplace

Do you think that Identity Theft can happen in your workplace?

There’s always someone at the office who is a real PITA; you don’t trust them any farther than you can throw them.  Do you think that person might have access to your personal identifying information like your social security number and home address?  That would make your skin crawl due to the fact that not only do they know where you live, but they have access to take your vital info.  They can sell it or pass it along to someone else who could commit identity theft crimes against you — and that’s a fact!!

So Bob and I are taking the bull by the horns.  New legislation was passed that requires all employers, no matter how big or small, to be proactive in educating their employees and putting measures in place so your personal identifying information is protected from prying eyes that have no right to ever see that data.  However, the legislation meant to protect you was to be in place by November 1, 2008, today, but has been delayed until May of next year, like for banks.  Hmn.

In any event, Bob (my silent partner for the moment) has come up with a plan to help companies lock down their information.  However, we can’t cover every company in the US, but we do have the info available to help your company tighten up their security  in regard to your personal identifying information and protect you against identity theft by fellow employees.

If you work in an office where you think measures should be tightened up, tell us about it.

ID Theft: To Be, That Is Special

My lifelong best friend had the saying, To Be, That Is Special, embossed on a silk screen in her living room for the last 35 years. That saying still has a special sentiment and meaning for me even though she passed away two years ago from metastatic breast cancer.

Each one of us is special. We hope that others will respect who we are as well as our special skills, talents, hopes and dreams. To think that anyone would violate our personal boundaries down to the very core of our being is beyond unforgivable; it’s reprehensible.

This is why I take Identity Name Theft so personally. It is personal. For someone to try to pass herself off as me, to step into my professional life, to attempt to raid my personal assets through Credit Fraud, to overlay her medical history and records over mine which could cost me my life, that is the basest violation of my being that strikes down to my core.

Identity Theft is a very real crime being perpetuated throughout the world in epidemic proportions while advertisers are omitting some of the most critical information you need to protect yourself. I urge you with every fiber of my being to take an intense look at what’s being offered in the marketplace today, and dig deep. Get a real education on how credit monitoring is totally insufficient to protect you and your family. There are alternative methods.

There is a solution for protecting your entire identity including your good name, your medical records, and more, not just your credit. There is help to restore your total identity instead of assistance in a box. And if you’re in the throes of identity theft at the moment, there is help to take this awesome burden off your shoulders.

Your Identity Defender,
Nancy Dewitz

P.S. The worst part of all is, if someone has identification bearing your name and their picture, they may be allowed to use your medical insurance since you cannot count on what any individual employee may decide. Identity Monitoring is the key to protecting you and your family.

Criminal ID Theft: Can It Happen To You?

Identity Theft Is A Crying Shame

Regardless of the fact that Identity Theft commercials attempt at humor is momentarily funny, Identity Theft is no laughing matter. However, what’s really laughable to me is the fact that Credit Monitoring or a program that locks down your social security number is only concerned with one thing, your credit, and not identity theft name losses.

Criminal Identity Name Theft, is on the move and gaining ground steadily. To give you an idea of how this works, follow along with this example. A sexual predator gets arrested. At booking, this pervert gives them a license with your information that they stole or bought through an underground chatroom. (Your picture was modified with the ID thief’s photo.) Therefore, when this predator doesn’t show up for court, a bench warrant goes out for your arrest. Imagine being cuffed in front of your children or your business associates.

Until very recently, Americans have been kept in the dark about how to protect themselves from more than just credit fraud Identity Theft. However, a new dawn has come. Now more than ever, the “right” Identity Theft protection is as appropriate as having the right medical coverage when you need care. You really aren’t concerned about it until something happens, but when it does, you’re sure glad you have it.

Wouldn’t it be nice to know that you can protect yourself should Criminal Identity Name Theft ever happen to you? It’s so much better to stay out of jail, while the real criminal gets put behind bars.

Be sure to request our free 5-part series report on The Many Faces Of Identity Theft. You’ll discover what credit monitoring does and doesn’t do. Then we’ll reveal a solution so simple, you’ll wonder why someone didn’t think of it before now.

Has someone ever stolen your Identity? If so, share your story with us.
